26 sugar factories — members of «Ukrsugar» Association produced 1.64 million tonnes of sugar.

Taking into account another sugar factory that is not a member of the Association, but processed sugar beets this season, the total production volume in the country amounted to 1.72 million tonnes.

Despite the reduction in the areas under sugar beet by 50 thousand hectares (–23% compared to last year), sugar production decreased by only 4%, or by 80 thousand tonnes.

«This is explained, first of all, by an increase in sugar beet yield to historically record level of 58 t/ha, an improvement in its technological characteristics, in particular the sugar content, which this year amounted to 17.6%, as well as the operational improvements at sugar factories. All these factors offset the impact of the reduction in sown areas, — said Yana Kavushevska, the head of the «Ukrtsugar» Association. — Sugar yield this year amounted to 15.17%, which is almost 1% higher than in 2024».

The leaders of sugar production in the 2025 season remained unchanged:

• Radekhivskyi Sugar — 32%
• Astarta — 21%
• UKRPROMINVEST-AGRO — 15%
• Teofipol Sugar Factory — 6%
• ASPIK Group — 5%

Despite all the challenges, Ukrainian sugar remains strong, competitive and technological.
