This year, precision farming, which was implemented in «Flora A.A.» FE 5 years ago, once again proved its effectiveness. Thanks to this technology and several other changes, it was possible to get a good crop, which allowed the company to stay afloat and make plans for the near future.

It is reported by AgroPortal.

«During the war we got the maximum effect from precision farming, it manifested itself 100%. Economy and the correct distribution of resources gave a good result, even despite the drought. We have got a crop that today is slightly above zero, but it allows us to stay afloat», — says the head of «Flora A.A.» Andriy Kapritza.

The several new crops in the crop rotation made it possible to reach, albeit small, profitability. Sugar beets were grown this season.

Andriy Kapritsa, the head of «Flora A.A.╗ FE, commented: «It is profitable for those farms that are territorially close to sugar factories. Kryzhopil sugar factory set a radius of 90 km for the free delivering of sugar beets from farmers. Thus, it is profitable for farmers to sow sugar beets in this radius. This year, the crop turned out to be profitable — we received $2,000 per hectare of beets. We still need to think about the consequences, as sugar beet takes moisture from the soil much more than other cultures, which will affect the yield of the next crop in the rotation».

Despite the difficult times, the farmer does not stop in the development of the enterprise and is not afraid to attract credit funds. This year, partly with loan funds, the equipment was purchased and a new dryer was built.

Andriy Kapritza says that today farmers have access to credit, of course, except for those who are in the "red zone".

And the plans are already being made to purchase all the necessary resources for production for the next season by the end of the year, at most — at the beginning of the next year.
