«Despite the difficult weather conditions — cold spring and wet summer — the weather did not affect the harvest and its quality indicators. Therefore, the sugar refining season can be considered successful», — said Lyudmila Goncharenko, a director of Department of Agri-Industrial Development.

According to her, the stable operation of the industry allowed to fully meet the needs of the region’s population and form export potential. «This year’s results indicate that the sugar industry of Lviv region is operating stably and has sufficient volumes of products for both the domestic market and for export», — she concluded.
