Shamraivskyi sugar refinery is one of the oldest in Kiev region, it was founded in 1847. At first, it was a small enterprise of land-feudal type, but one of the best at that time. Only 64 tonnes of sugar were produced that year, which were sold in St. Petersburg.

In 1918, the company became the property of the state.

The refinery was destroyed during the Second World War, but in 1944 it resumed its work.

Many reconstructions had been carried out by 1987. The processing capacity of the refinery was increased to 3 thousand tonnes of sugar beet per day.

Today the sugar refinery is among the modernized enterprises in accordance with the requirements of the latest market relations policy.

2015-2018 became the years of powerful and costly modernization for the company. These measures made it possible to reduce the cost of production by 20%. 

In 2018, 307,1 thousand tonnes of sugar beets were processed and 36,8 thousand tonnes of sugar were produced. The plant successfully entered the foreign market and sold 8,0 thousand tonnes of sugar.
