Kozova Sugar Plant is the largest enterprise in the area covering an area of ​​240 hectares. The construction of the sugar refinery began in 1954, and the first sugar was produced on December 29, 1959. The processing capacity of the plant amounted to 1,5 thousand tons of sugar beet per day.

The reconstruction of the enterprise began in 1968. In 1971, automatic lines were put into operation, resulting in a significant increase in labor productivity. Reconstruction continued until 1975. As a result of the work, the capacity increased and amounted to 2,7 thousand tons of beet per day.

The main production, produced by the plant, is sugar and by-products —molasses and beet pulp (raw).

During 2011-2014, the company carried out the modernization of technologies and equipment to increase the production capacity of the refinery up to 4 thousand tons of sugar beet per day.
